Progressions–PRSSA’s Redesigned Blog

PRSSA is proud to announce that what was previously known as the Blog is now to be known as Progressions.

Progressions will serve as an enhanced communication vehicle for PRSSA members, Advisers, students and professionals.

Progressions will make content more accessible to members by growing the platform as a place to give and receive tips and lessons from all aspects of the public relations profession. Readers of Progressions may follow “tags” of favorite topics and provide comments and feedback.

In addition, Progressions adheres closely to the Society’s Brand Identity Guidelines. All Chapters should strive to follow these principles provided in all digital platforms, including blogs.

The best part of the PRSSA Blog will remain consistent with Progressions: serving as an excellent member benefit that provides intelligent content to help you and your Chapter succeed. Look for advice and ideas on seeking jobs/internships, writing resumes, social media, event planning, attending PRSSA national events, all niches of public relations (including sports, entertainment, healthcare and public affairs), Chapter development, connecting with your PRSA sponsor Chapter and more.

I know I would love to see a post about tips for writing cover letters, or how to write a personalized one!

I know there is a fine line between restating everything in your resume and getting too personal, so maybe some tips on how to balance these when writing one?

I love the new layout and look of Progressions! Great job to everyone involved and I look forward to seeing more posts this year!

One possible topic is collaborating with other Chapters and other organizations on campus. We talked about this at Leadership Rally a little bit, but bringing in some diversity with programming can really be effective!

    Thank you!
